Biography
Tobit Kochanek grew up in the Ruhr region and, after graduating from high school, studied Scenic Arts under mentors such as Uwe Schrader, RP Kahl, and Jakob Lass. After moving to Berlin in 2016, he began working on film sets in various roles, primarily as an assistant director and in casting. Since 2019, he has been studying Screenwriting for Series at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. In addition to his work as a screenwriter, he has also directed his own projects since starting his studies. MANNSCHAFT, his first feature-length film, had a successful premiere at DOK.fest München.
